emma's song

I look at her.  She stares at me.
but only for a time.
She’s in a place I’ll never see
with Jesus on her mind.

In her world, she’s far away.
I’ll never understand-
and then I’ll catch her laugh out loud
knowing Jesus holds her hand.

I live this life he chose for me,
with my little girl-
even though I’ll never see
the beauty of her world.

Time goes by, my baby grows
and yet she stays the same.
but I know she’s happy,
cause Jesus calls her name.

And every once in a while
she’s different.  I can attest.
I see a glimpse of who she is
but Jesus knows her best.

I live this life he chose for me,
with my little girl-
even though I’ll never see
the beauty of her world.

I know down deep within my heart,
I’m blessed beyond compare
Jesus thinks the world of her
and trusts me with her care.
