The weather wasn’t very cooperative, but the rain didn’t dampen the spirits of 34 ladies wearing light blue ribbons on November 15. Their evening began by being shuttled from Bentwater Golf Club to downtown Acworth and finished with a great three course dinner at the Center Street Tavern before being shuttled back to Bentwater.
The four hours between shuttle rides was spent perusing the shops of quaint downtown Acworth as business owners stayed open late in support of Emma’s Emmbassadors. Wine Tasting at the Oak Barrel was particularly fun while a mini-massage at Pearl’s Spa helped the ladies forget about the hectic week that was coming to an end.
Several gift shops kept their doors open late and offered the ladies generous discounts on their prized inventory. Wild Blossoms, Glitz and Glamour, and Jade offer unique and classy clothing, accessories and gifts for all ages.
Although the ladies were excited to simply be a part of the annual event, the community of Acworth was being educated by their very presence and Emma’s Emmbassadors was able to raise over $2300 to support its grant programs.
Thanks to all the Shops and Restaurants who supported this event and the Ladies who came out despite the rainy weather…See you next year!
